Are You Available 24/7?
Yes, for emergency call-outs. You can phone 07360 183936 at any time. Attendance is subject to availability, weather and safe access, so 24/7 does not mean an arrival time. Routine work is arranged separately.
24/7 Emergency Call-OutsHow Do You Find Where a Roof Is Leaking?
Water often travels before it shows, so the stain may not be below the fault. We check the covering and then the junctions — chimney flashing, soakers, valleys and the ridge. Leak investigation is quoted individually.
Emergency Roof RepairsWhat Is the Difference Between a Temporary and a Permanent Repair?
A temporary repair is meant to keep water out until a lasting repair can be made safely. The permanent repair is planned and quoted once the cause is clear.
What Should I Do While Waiting for Help?
Stay off the roof, keep people clear of loose materials and move belongings only if safe. Take photos from ground level. Keep clear of water near electrical fittings and seek qualified help.

Can You Fix Slipped Tiles?
Yes. Slipped or broken tiles are lifted and replaced or refixed. Matching older tiles can be hard, so we will tell you if reclaimed or close-match tiles are needed.
Pitched & Slate RoofingShould I Repair My Roof or Have It Replaced?
Local damage on a sound roof is a repair. Widespread tile failure, worn underlay or repeated leaks in different places can make replacement better value. We explain the reasons; the choice is yours.
Roof ReplacementsWhich Flat Roof Materials Do You Use?
EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and traditional felt or torch-on. Each suits different roofs, and we explain the trade-offs for yours.
Flat RoofingIs It Condensation or a Leak?
Condensation is usually widespread and worst in cold weather; a leak is usually in one place and follows rain. Ventilation can reduce condensation but cannot cure every damp problem.
Roof VentilationWhy Is My Gutter Overflowing When It Is Not Leaking?
Usually a blockage at an outlet or downpipe, or a run that has lost its fall. A leak at one point usually means a failed joint or cracked section.
Gutter RepairsDo I Need Gutter Clearance or Replacement?
If the gutter is sound and flows once cleared, clearance is enough. Brittle plastic, cracked sections and several failing joints point to replacement.
Gutter RepairsDoes My Chimney Need Flashing Repairs or Repointing?
Failed lead flashing and crumbling mortar can both let water in around a chimney. We look at the lead, the mortar and the top of the stack before recommending either.

What Affects the Cost of Roof Work?
Roof size, height and pitch, the material, scaffolding, removal of old materials, insulation, hidden deck or timber damage, and urgency or out-of-hours work. Your cost is confirmed in a written quote.

No. HB Roofing is not VAT registered and does not add VAT to its quotations.
How Long Will the Work Take?
It depends on the job, weather and access. Any working period we give is approximate and excludes booking, material and scaffolding lead times.
Roofing Costs & TimescalesWill I Need Scaffolding?
Larger jobs, re-roofing and most chimney work usually need scaffolding or other access equipment. Any access equipment is set out in the written quote.
Can I Send Photos with My Enquiry?
Yes. The quote page shows the photos you choose, but they stay on your device; you attach them yourself in your email or WhatsApp message.

Do You Guarantee Your Work?
Workmanship cover is assessed for each job. We do not advertise one fixed guarantee period for all repairs or installations. Ask what cover, if any, applies to the proposed work; any agreed terms, duration and exclusions should be confirmed in writing. Manufacturer warranties are separate and depend on the selected product and its conditions.
Are You Insured?
HB Roofing holds £1,000,000 public liability insurance. Cover is subject to the policy terms and is separate from any job-specific workmanship cover.
