Practical information about estimates, charges, payments and your rights when asking HB Roofing to carry out work. This page is general information; your written agreement for a job sets out the terms that apply to it.

Estimates & Visits

Planned call-outs and site visits are free, and estimates are free and without obligation. An enquiry through this website, by phone or by WhatsApp is not a booking, and a free estimate does not commit you to any work.

Emergency Charges

Emergency call-outs are available 24/7, with urgent attendance subject to availability, weather and safe access. Emergency call-outs may incur a fee depending on the circumstances; ask us to confirm any charge before booking.

Payments

Card payments are accepted. Payment arrangements for your job are confirmed with your written agreement.

Insurance-Funded Work

We undertake insurance-funded roof and gutter repairs. Check your insurer’s approval requirements before authorising work; cover and payment remain subject to your policy.

Workmanship Cover

Workmanship cover is assessed for each job. We do not advertise one fixed guarantee period for all repairs or installations. Ask what cover, if any, applies to the proposed work; any agreed terms, duration and exclusions should be confirmed in writing. Manufacturer warranties are separate and depend on the selected product and its conditions.

Cancellation Rights

Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period. The starting point can depend on whether the agreement is for services or for goods and installation. The cancellation information supplied with your written agreement will explain the rights that apply to your job. For a qualifying service contract, the period normally ends 14 days after the day the contract is agreed.

If you expressly request an early start, you may have to pay proportionately for work provided before cancellation, where the legal requirements are met. For services fully performed during that period, cancellation rights may end only with the required request and acknowledgement.

The cancellation exception for a visit you specifically request for urgent repairs or maintenance applies to that urgent work and necessary replacement parts, not automatically to additional work.
